A number of years ago, a friend gave me several walnut logs which had been harvested locally at Lone Star Lake. Another friend and I milled the logs and stored them for several years in my garage. The cabinet was made to display postcards for the local Birkenstock shoe store, whose owner has a cabin at Lone Star Lake. It was a perfect opportunity to use this walnut. The wood is truly beautiful.
