When my close friend’s daughter got married recently, I made this small keepsake box as a present. She’s a wonderful young person, whom I have know since before she was born . . . over thirty years ago, I canoed in the Boundary Waters with her parents while her mom was pregnant.

Small things need to be made very carefully. They tend to be examined in closer detail than large furniture. They get picked up, turned over, held up to the light etc. Projects like this are always a labor of love.
